Tucker Fresh IGA has introduced a new Seniors Discount Programme aimed at supporting older Western Australians grappling with the rising cost of living. Delivered in partnership with Seniors Card WA, the initiative offers Seniors Card holders a 5% discount across all 12 Tucker Fresh IGA stores in Perth.
Starting Monday, 12th May 2025, the discount will be available Monday to Friday, with no minimum spend—giving seniors more flexibility and value in their weekly shop.
Unlike one-off or day-specific offers, this weekday initiative allows seniors to shop at times that suit them, avoiding the need to rush in during limited promotional periods or crowded peak hours.
The move comes as part of Tucker Fresh IGA’s ongoing commitment to community-first retailing, with a strong focus on practical, local support.
Veer Shah, Managing Partner at Tucker Fresh IGA, said the business understands the pressures many older Australians are currently facing. He emphasised that the programme is designed to offer real, meaningful support by making everyday groceries more affordable.
Mr Shah explained that partnering with Seniors Card WA ensures the discount reaches those who need it most, reinforcing the supermarket’s goal to do what’s right for the community—not just what’s easy.
Tucker Fresh IGA has built its reputation as a locally owned, family-run group of stores dedicated to personal, neighbourhood-based service. The new seniors discount reflects this ethos, prioritising dignity, choice, and accessibility for customers in later life.
The 12 participating stores are spread across the Perth metropolitan area—from Kinross in the north to Atwell in the south—ensuring the programme is easily accessible to seniors in a wide range of suburbs.
With no complicated terms or restrictions, the offer is simple: 5% off the total shop, five days a week, just by presenting a Seniors Card.
This initiative highlights Tucker Fresh IGA’s broader approach to responsible, people-focused retailing—putting the needs of the community first while offering tangible support in challenging times.
