Secret items available at Harris Farm Lane Cove supermarket

Harris Farm Lane Cove released three new secret menu items only available in store – but customers have to be in the know to get their hands on them.

One of Australia’s supermarkets, that was dubbed “the most boujee” when it first opened, has welcomed a handful of new additions to the fold.

Thousands rushed to check out Harris Farm’s Lane Cove store, in Sydney’s North Shore, when it opened in September.

The store includes a doughnut shop, a popcorn stand, a sushi bar, an area to pour your own honey and a Messina store inside.

But, from November 14, the store will be adding new secret menu items where only people in the know will be able to get their hands on them – just in time for the festive season.

One secret menu item is the return of Rebel Donuts’ Bacon Rebel Donut – with the Lane Cove store being the only place in New South Wales to sink your teeth into it.

The item is only available weekdays between 7am and 10.30am, so keen doughnut lovers will have to rush in to get the chance to try it.

Messina’s build-your-own cookie station is also getting new filling, which features Jersey milk vanilla bean custard made from milk from Messina’s Numurkah dairy and infused with Heilala Vanilla Beans that are grown in Tonga.

Then, the store’s Proper Roast counter has added truffle manchego topping for its hot chips.

None of the items are listed on the menu, so customers will have to ask staff directly for them.

“Lane Cove is Harris Farms Markets largest Sydney store to date, and it’s absolutely jam packed with everything you could possibly need to tick off your shopping list. While this store has some of the most exciting features we’ve ever cooked up at Harris Farm, we still wanted to do something a little extra for our locals and have partnered with our amazing concession stores to release more new and exclusive store items,” said Tristan Harris, Harris Farm Markets Co-CEO.

But the supermarket hasn’t stopped there, adding 10 premium entertaining bundles online to save people rushing about when it comes to grazing boards.

There will also be demos in all stores through November by the Fish in the Family seafood counter to help people create their perfect grazing board at home.

Prices range between $25 and $100 for the entertaining bundles, with the cost effective option – Bake Me Brie – featuring fresh seasonal berries and a creamy triple brie.

One of the more expensive options, The Entertainer, features a 24-month cured prosciutto di parma, bresaola air-dried beef, Tasmania smoked salmon, muscatels, a selection of sauces and fruit.

There is also a plant-based option, with a $65 price tag.

“Harris Farm has always prided itself on providing value in all areas of our business, from fruit and veg so fresh customers feel like they’re hand picking from a farm, and a store range that provides value with values,” Mr Harris said.

“As a family run business, we know how important meal times can be for bringing everyone together, especially when you’re juggling busy schedules. That’s why this holiday season, Harris Farm is your one-stop-shop for all things entertaining.”
